The braddahs wear the IB outsole because it doesn't show off Hawaii's red dirt. The IG is a non-marking deck sole great for the boat. The PT classic has been a Kama'aina favorite for going Luau since it's inception.
Kamehameha the Great
June 11 · King Kamehameha Day · By KamehamehaFestival.org
![]() Kamehameha Day was established by royal decree on December 22, 1871 by King Kamehameha V as a national holiday. Kamehameha Day was created to honor the memory of Kamehameha, the king's great grandfather, who united the Hawaiian Islands in 1810 and became Hawai'i's first king. The first celebration occurred on June 11, 1872, during this early period celebrations occurred on each island and were grand and festive consisting of carnivals, fairs, and foot, horse, velocipede (bike), and canoe races. However, following the overthrow of Queen Lili'uokalani and the Kingdom of Hawai'i in 1893, Kamehameha Day continued to be recognized as a holiday, but the celebratory aspect (understandably) fell to the wayside. After Hawai'i became a territory of the United States in 1898, Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana'ole restored the Royal Order of Kamehameha I (Royal Order) in 1903. The Royal Order subsequently reestablished the celebration of Kamehameha Day on June 11, 1904. The Kamehameha Day celebrations in Hawai'i were conducted exclusively by the Royal Order from 1904 until 1912. In 1912 respective chapters of the Royal Order began to collaborate with island communities and local governments to present Kamehameha Day celebrations. Customer Corner
is that a smile? i see on your face..the petite lady from island slipper had asked. ohhh yeeah..the slippers feels so good...i responded!
it's been very frustrating trying to find a pair of slippers that fit. on-line..we found that island slipper factory was located right down the road. we visited hoping to buy the biggest size slipper... they had, instead we had left the factory with a first class experience & my "custom fit" island slippers. with the help of the big kahuna(i think his name was john) & his island slipper staff, they made it happen. yes, the big kahuna actually made my slippers..as we waited in their cool office. thank you very much to the big kahuna & your island slipper staff for such first class service. you guys took time out of your busy schedules to put big smiles on me & my wife's face. we really appreciate it. and finally..i got me a appropriate & comfortable pair of slippers, and it is from "island slipper". continue success & GOD bless ~Julius Tobiasson Mahalo for all of your feedback! We are looking forward to many more of your stories or suggestions.
